Skate Shop Day 2026 goes down Saturday, February 21 — a yearly celebration of the independent skate shops that keep skateboarding alive at the local level. Skate Shop Day happens every third Saturday in February and is dedicated to supporting core shops with exclusive, shop-only product you won’t find at big-box retailers.
This year, brands under Deluxe Distribution — including REAL Skateboards — are releasing special limited collections created specifically for Skate Shop Day.
The three-deck collection from REAL and Tokyo-based artist Verdy is one of the standout releases of the year. Extremely limited to just four of each graphic per shop, the drop includes a reimagined REAL Oval logo and two pro models for Ishod Wair designed to connect as a set. This marks Verdy’s first collaboration made specifically for independent skate shops — reinforcing the purpose behind Skate Shop Day itself.
Skate Shop Day is about supporting the local shops that sponsor skaters, host events, build community, and keep skateboarding independent.
